Refund & Returns Policy

This Refund & Returns Policy works together with Bidoro's Buyer Protection Policy and Terms & Conditions.

1. When Returns Are Allowed

A return may be approved when:

  • The item delivered is significantly different from the listing
  • The item arrives damaged or defective
  • The wrong item was sent
  • The seller agrees to accept a return

Returns must be requested within 48 hours of delivery confirmation.

2. When Returns Are NOT Allowed

Returns will generally not be accepted when:

  • The buyer changes their mind
  • The correct item was delivered as described
  • The buyer damaged the item after delivery
  • The item is perishable or custom-made (unless damaged or misrepresented)

3. Return Request Process

To request a return, the buyer must:

  1. Open a return request through Bidoro
  2. Provide clear evidence (photos, videos, packaging condition)
  3. Keep the item unused and in its original condition where possible

Failure to provide evidence may result in denial of the request.

4. Return Shipping

  • If the seller is at fault, the seller may be responsible for return shipping costs
  • If the return is approved for other reasons, Bidoro will determine who bears the cost
  • Buyers must use the approved return method provided by Bidoro where applicable

Items returned without authorization may not be eligible for refunds.

5. Refund Process

Once a return is approved:

  • Refunds may be issued after the item is received and verified
  • Refunds will be sent through the original payment method where possible
  • Processing times may vary depending on banks or payment providers
  • Bidoro may withhold seller funds during investigations

6. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued if:

  • The item is returned in a used or damaged condition not caused by the seller
  • Only part of the order is disputed

7. Abuse of the Returns System

Users who repeatedly abuse the return process may face:

  • Loss of return privileges
  • Account suspension or permanent ban

Bidoro Prohibited Items Policy

To maintain a safe and lawful marketplace, certain items and services are strictly prohibited on Bidoro.

1. Illegal Items

Listings are not allowed for:

  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances
  • Drug paraphernalia primarily intended for illegal drug use
  • Stolen property
  • Human organs or body parts
  • Items that promote or facilitate criminal activity

2. Weapons and Dangerous Items

Prohibited items include:

  • Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
  • Military-grade weapons
  • Homemade or improvised weapons
  • Any weapon prohibited under Nigerian law

Certain tools (e.g., kitchen knives) may be allowed if listed responsibly and legally.

3. Counterfeit and Infringing Goods

Sellers may not list:

  • Fake designer goods
  • Pirated software, movies, or music
  • Unauthorized replicas of branded products
  • Items that infringe copyrights, trademarks, or patents

4. Restricted Medical and Health Products

Prohibited listings include:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Unapproved medical devices
  • Expired medicines
  • Claims of miracle cures or unverified medical treatments

5. Hazardous Materials

You may not sell:

  • Toxic chemicals
  • Explosives or fireworks (where restricted)
  • Radioactive materials
  • Industrial chemicals without proper authorization

6. Adult and Obscene Materials

Bidoro does not allow:

  • Pornographic content
  • Explicit adult services
  • Sexually exploitative material
  • Items that violate decency laws

7. Live Animals and Wildlife

Unless specifically approved under local regulations:

  • Sale of live animals may be restricted
  • Endangered species or wildlife products are strictly prohibited

8. Financial and Identity Items

Listings may not include:

  • Bank accounts or payment cards
  • SIM cards registered in another person's name
  • Government IDs, passports, or licenses
  • Personal data or databases

9. Services That Are Illegal or Unsafe

Not allowed:

  • Hacking services
  • Academic cheating services
  • Fake documents or certificates
  • Any service that violates Nigerian law

10. Enforcement

Bidoro may:

  • Remove prohibited listings without notice
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts
  • Report illegal activity to authorities where required
